Were Joe Frazier and Floyd Patterson stupid? The function of galloping forwards while punching is to cover distance, not for power.

 

Left uppercut (i.e. an uppercut with your lead hand if you are right handed)

Foreman vs Cooney - the final knockdown was a big left uppercut followed by a right

Not many guys can throw this punch and not many can throw it with authority and accuracy.

 

It is not stupid but in most of the fights its not usable because you could end on your ass not just from the punch but because you lose ballance.
