I think Canelo looked good, I didn’t think there was any real sign of deterioration. I just think Berlanga’s punch resistance is really really good.

 

berlanga is tougher than i suspected. he got washed but he held up physically and mentally. his stock should rise despite the loss.

 

Berlanga never had a chance but this was an entertaining fight. Kid got heart and he’s a brawler. Going 12 rounds with Canelo and still firing back even late was impressive. I enjoyed the hell out of this fight.

 

Munguia vs Berlanga is mandatory.

I think canelo could have stopped him, but to Berlangas credit he took some big shots and will learn from this in defeat. Berlanga put up a way better performance than Charlo did for sure.

 

Best fighter in the world? Doubt.

 

Canelo shifted into low gear

 

And his gameplan was spot on. He just wasn’t good enough to execute it.

 

Who would have ever thought that Clenelo would become a decision machine while his father Lara is stopping guys consistently in his twilight years.

 

He didn’t move his head like he normally does he didn’t set traps and body work was limited.

 

Barlanga is a tough man. Not a high skilled fighter but tough and has good power. Excellent effort although i doubt he will ever be an elite fighter.
