His clearout at SMW was solid (though none of those title holders - Saunders, Smith, Plant - have achieved anything since), but Bivol took his mojo because his resume's been crap since. Partly to do with a pretty shallow division, but not fighting the clear and obvious #2 in the division is a big black mark against him.

Also, not letting Bivol fight for his belts at SMW after Bivol gave him a shot at LHW was pretty weak.

He also drained him to death on the scales. I blame this fight for opening the eyes of Canelo to the possibilities of doing the same to other fighters in his career.

One thing to admire about Mayweather is he gave immediate rematches though. Not many do that.

This realistically didn't do anything to Canelo he would've fought Maywewther the same. Considering his ring weight and performance it's an excuse really. He just wasn't good enough

Then PBF shouldn't have insisted on it if "it did nothing"

Because it's Mayweather he's always looking to get an advantage that doesn't have to mean the tactics are always beyond placebo

Canelo was 165 in the ring and didn't show any problems that magically disappeared after this fight. As a matter of fact he looked just as "drained" in the weigh ins against Mosley and Trout

This thread is just proof Floyd haters are braindead lol.

“Floyd drained Canelo” it was a 2 pound catch weight and Canelo was 165 on fight night

“Floyd was gifted wins against De la Hoya maidana and Castillo!” Da la Hoya only won 2 rounds, maidana only won 4 rounds same with Castillo (6-4-2)

“Floyd ducked GGG!” This is the same as that Crawford vs Canelo fight y’all be hating on. GGG couldn’t even move up to 164 to fight ward y'all really think he could make 154? It was weight bully match up through and through.

don’t forget the ducking allegations people just say happened. ducking Vernon Forrest is ****ing killing me y’all just be making **** up

This threead is the pan calling the kettle.

Canelo and Fairweather have flawed resumes.

Both are guilty of ducking tough fights and padding resumes.

    After fighting Floyd
    Canelo learned the green print
To eventually become the top earner in the sport.

    Berlanga is no Trinidad
    Munguía is no Margarito
Charlo is no winky wright, Williams or Forrest.

if anything Benevidez would be the equivalent to Margarito at the weight class.

Canelo has remodeled his business plan to match Floyd path of least resistance
Most juice for the least squeeze.
