I reckon he did want the fight to stop. Whic was a very smart move, why should he be beaten to a pulp if he was never going to win anyway? I think loads of fighters have done the same thing but by just staying down when they could easily get up. And most of them are probably right to stay down, if they have been knocked down more than once, are way behind on the cards and late in the fight. Whats the point?
