It was a golden age of boxing, but it’s come to an end, Fury’s old, Usyk won’t be around much longer, Wilder’s shot and Joshua won’t recover from this. It was truly a great era, but all eras come to an end. Fury vs Usyk is the final chapter.
Yeah, sad to see as a fan of this era. AJ brought excitement back to the division, so did Wilder and Fury. It's been a long road, but it's over.
Agree, end of an Era. All are shot now. New Era is Dubois and Parkers. Decline of Fury, AJ, Whyte, Hrgovic, Ruiz. Usyk is on his way out, what a solid champion!
A great era? AJ, Fury, Wilder pretty much avoided each other until Usyk came along and upset the little cosy bromance they had going on.
Good riddance quite frankly. They couldn't be arsed to make the big fights when it actually mattered, I've got no sympathy that they're missing out on their big pay checks now that they're old, battered and beaten.
The era had potential to be so much better. Besides Fury Vs Wilder, big fights were generally not happening.
I'm not sure I would call it a golden era, I think this era of heavy weights had a few fighters that could actually box, Usyk being the standout fighter but there were also quite a few crude limited fighters i.e wilder Joyce that were held in high regard that I don't believe would have done anything in other eras. In this era it became all about money and the top fighters left it too late to fight each other, Turki should have got involved a few years ago and forced these guys to fight
I feel real fortunate to have got to watch Fury & Usyk box. I don't think people appreciate how special they are as heavyweights. This era has been better than the Klitscko era for sure.
