He often does that when he is hurt. He did it against Ruiz and Usyk as well. He wants to be seen as confident and in control I guess.

 

Quite common in fighters to do these kind of things when they're actually hurt.

 

He had that deer in the headlights look for most of the fight that Wilder had in the second Fury fight.

There was a moment when Dubois is baring down on him that he looks terrified.

 

He knew that he was losing, its his "I'm out" reaction
