There shouldnt even be a rematch clause. Eddie hearn always puts that in there just in case so his fighter gets another shot but its not a close sd or a controversial ko. Its a terrible beatdown and its holding back fights just to give his golden goose endless shots at the title no matter how he gets beaten. Just go fight Wilder or Fury when he gets schooled by Usyk again. Let Dubois fight Parker and stop holding back the divsion just to shoerorn in that bs undisputed fury vs AJ fight that always gets derailed by losses.
This was such a winnable fight for AJ though but he's completely lost mentally. Dubois would have gotten flattened by someone like Lennox Lewis tonight.
This obsession about rematches is crazy. Not only was Joshua thoroughly beaten but how come there was a rematch clause set in place? Joshua was a beltless challenger, how could he secure a rematch clause? I’d much rather see the division moving forward instead of the constant rematches.
Please no he can’t do what he did to Ruiz in the rematch and run Dubois would just catch up to him and take him out AJ just doesn’t have the chin or endurance to survive
Ruiz was a fat slob in the rematch and had no desire. Joshua can't box cautiously like he did vs Ruiz the same result will happen. Joshua has to do the opposite and assert himself early.
It's time for the sanctioning bodies and appropriate commissions to start voiding rematch clauses. Hearn is getting too corrupt with this.
Joshua is a cash cow. Say what you will about him but he's charismatic and charming. I can't see Dubois selling out Wembley Stadium unless he's fighting Fury or Usyk again.
And the funny part is that, coming from an AJ fan, the hardcore nuthuggers were selling the "best AJ ever beats Usyk" narrative when it obviously wasn't true.
AJ looked terrible in this fight but he got too eager once he hurt DuBois. Reminded me a lot of Miocic vs Ngannou 2 in the UFC. You always have to respect the power of a puncher, even when they're hurt or maybe especially then. AJ looks done at the top level. His reflexes were awful.
