I was thinking about this matchup and couldn't quite figure out how the best HW version of Moore would do against the best of Machen. Both were crafty fighters although Moore is superior from a legacy standpoint. Who would outbox who here?

Bump. Very interesting, both great technically, Machen bigger, Moore better, but don’t know if the size would help Machen much since he was more technical and the size difference wasn’t that much anyway. Moore has more to his game, could change levels better, get low come over the top, could fight on the inside better and could box as well.
Wry good tactical fight. A lot of skill would be on display. If Moore is young enough and properly prepared I’d pick him by decision
I'd go w/ Moore. Machen always seemed to me like the kind of fighter who does enough to "stay in" big fights but usually comes up short.
