He was would have fought undefeated, non timid AJ with all the confidence in the world. That AJ would throw hands and land at will on Ward.
Listen, I grew up speaking mostly Denisovan, so, I'm not 100% certain what you are asking. Can anyone translate this better into my native language so that I may make sense of it?
Kovalev said Ward hits like a girl. Before the nuts-KO, Ward landed the best RH he ever has on Kovalev's jaw and it stunned Kovalev but didn't even KD him. Obviously Ward doesn't hit like a girl, but by top LHW standards Kovalev might be right. So it's likely AJ could just walk through him even while Ward is trying to be slick. Prime Kovalev could probably hurt AJ though. Not saying he can take the HW shots, but he has a better chance of out-boxing AJ because he has more skill than AJ and is actually better than Ward, at least at boxing long, plus he has a better chance of keeping AJ off.
Theres a line where the size, strength and power disparity becomes too wide for skill to negate it. AJ/Ward crosses that line.
