Paul isn't busy enough here, and gets roughed up in a decision loss.

Jimmy Paul was good boxer and cracking right hand but in title defences vs Darryl Tyson and Cubanito Perez he gave away the 1st five rounds before coming on.

If he did this against Ramirez he´d be in world of trouble though the Mexican was a slow starter himself.

Ramirez had power, sturdy chin and good stamina. I think he´ll do the same as the Terrence Alli fight where we wore down the talented Alli to take complete control and decision.

Ramirez on points in a thrilling contest.

Man what a great match up and very interesting.
Paul was a pretty good boxer who could crack with his right-hand. And he was tall for a lightweight.
Ramirez was a tough southpaw who was rugged and strong but lacked quickness.
I would have to think about this one!!!

As someone mentioned, both slow starters. Perhaps down to whoever gets going first?
I would lean towards Ramirez but with no great confidence.
