Honestly you make a much better case for Gene than I thought there would’ve been, I still see Joe winning a decisive decision but Frazier would still know he was in a fight.

I think Frazier catches Tunney at some point and,if doesn't ko him would knock him down and take a decision.

Frazier late tko or UD, I know Tunney was a great fighter, However you have to take in to consideration that Frazier's taken on numerous different styles and the only person to really dominate him was George Foreman and even that Fight Frazier kept getting back up. While Tunney had great ring IQ we do know that he struggled with Harry Greb in their numerous encounters, And while it's true that he finally mastered the greb match up the 5th time, He'd be competing against someone who was much bigger than greb which while would make him slower he was able to cut the ring off against Ali. I don't see Tunney being able to keep Frazier off of him even though he had good power. Bonavena and Quarry were both solid punchers in their own right and both of them failed to beat Frazier twice. So Tunney taking an aggressive approach probably wouldn't be the best option for him. I think Joe just wears him out over the long haul.

Frazier walks straight through him and stops Tunney within 8-10 rounds Frazier thrived against boxers and Tunney is too small.

Ok fine, only since you asked. Frazier takes him real late, wins there.

Frazier by decision is my pick. This is a good fight though, a very good fight. Just feel Frazier will be more than Tunney can handle, and Joe at his best has already beaten better than Gene.

Joe eventually nails him but he has to work hard for it and he gets busted up along the way.

    Hi Buddy.
Your summation of the outcome makes a lot of sense ( to me anyway ) hard to find fault with prognosis, I too feel that Frazier would be altogether a bridge too far for Tunney as much as I appreciate how tough and durable Gene was, he might make it to the bell if it was a 12 rounder, but over 15 I feel Joe would catch up with a fleet footed Tunney and maybe stop him.
