Trevor Berbick vs Tommy Morrison

I think Berbick would wear Morrison down.

 

Both men blew hot and cold. Trevor defeated prime versions of Page, Tate and Thomas, but also dropped losses to Mercado, Gordon and Snipes. He was stopped only twice in some 62 bouts though which is something to consider. Morrison beat some decent opponents in old George, Joe Hipp and a resurgent Carl Williams but got sparked in one by Michael Bentt and barely escaped defeat against Ross Purity. Not an easy fight to call.

 

If Tommy uses the style he used against Foreman, he would win a decision. If he stands right in front of Trevor, he could be outmuscled. Neither fighter had a great chin so either one could knock the other out if they fight toe to toe. My guess is Morrison would utilize movement to win a decision.

 

Trever beats Tommy by the closest of margins, split decision.

I agree with Magoo, both men were good, but they were unpredictable, especially Berbick. But I'm a huge Berbick fan, and not much of a Morrison fan. I think Berbick was tough, while Morrison wasn't. I think Morrison could outbox Berbick, but there's always the possibility that he tires, and Berbick could really beat him up then, since Berbick is not likely to tire.

 

Bump. Great fight! If both guys are in shape and ready to rumble then this would be a real brawl.

 

I pick Berbick to win via Decision. Or, Berbick could KO him if Bentt could KO him.

 

Morrison dismantles Berbick in the 4th round.

 

Berbick would batter Morrison.

 

Morrison KO.

anyway Berbick isnt Mercer, Tommy plays it smart and stops him mid-late
