I think Nunn at his best schools Benn but there is the danger that Benn could land a hail mary shot and KO Nunn. But I think a prime Nunn is a level above Benn and should win a convincing decision or late TKO. I believe this fight was actually supposed to happen but Benn lost unexpectedly to Watson and that was that.
Another vote for Nunn. Benn had that killer spirit and huge punch so he might out-muscle Nunn. But for boxing skills, Nunn was a superb boxer and Benn was not. Myself I think Nunn lands cleaner and more often than Benn and should take the win.
Nunn with ease. Benn stopped by Watson and Eubank. Dropped by Anthony Logan and Doug Dewitt, struggled to beat Reggie Miller and Sanderline Williams. Over 15 I think the Nunn who destroyed Frank Tate would stop him in the late rounds. At 168 pounds Benn was better whilst Nunn wasn´t the same after the Toney loss and out of ring addictions. Benn might have a chance especially if fighting at home.
Who do I like better? Nigel. Who would I root for? Benn. Who do I think would win? I’ll join the majority here and say Nunn wins easily. I’ll go with wide UD rather than stoppage because I think Michael would be wise enough to not mess with things best left alone and take his round-by-round superiority to the bank rather than risk stepping it up to get the stoppage win. He’d just box circles around the crude-but-dangerous Dark Destroyer. I think over 15, Nunn might win 12 or more rounds … I could even see a shutout.
