His father's hubris won't allow him to be beat on by another hitter back to back so the sabbatical really is the only option.

Fair point, but it will be a career killer imo.

I'm not a fan of either but yeah would be interesting to see it happen without the weight and PED advantages to see if they made a difference.

But can Garcia make 140 anymore he didn't just miss the weight by a few ounces it was by over 3lbs while taking Ostarine for his cut, he looked huge against Haney. There's a very good chance he comes in overweight again or pops dirty again. Haney would want huge penalties in place to prevent it happening again. I doubt we see a rematch, why even give a cheat the opportunity again.

I’d like to see a rematch. Ryan doesn’t seem like a serious fighter these days but I still like him over Haney. Haney and his dad are very unlikeable but they are in good company. Lots of unlikeable guys these days including Garcia.

Devin Haney will never fight Ryan Garcia again, he wouldn't give Loma the rematch after being gifted a robbery decision for being punched up and down the ring for 12 rounds.

Weight bullies to one degree or another all share common psychological traits of, you guessed it, bullies.
He saw an easy target in a coked up, party going, alcoholic Ryan Garcia. No doubt encouraged by his pops and yesmen, he went talking all that **** in the pre-fight, saying hes an elite fighter while RG is a C level fighter, how he was going in there to kill him, that he's a different level, etc

His entire "Mayweather"esq person shattered the moment a psychotic RG told him to meet him in the middle and proceeded to beat the living **** out of that boy, the first time he faced someone his own size who can crack, he spent 12 rounds surviving and the only reason he didn't get brutally knocked out was because the referee was in Eddie Hearns pocket, and because RG is a coked out, alcoholic rock star, who happens to have boxing talent and actually comes to fight, imagine if RG was in shape.

I promise you all, Devin "you're too small" Haney will never share the ring with a serious puncher, I know a broken bully type when I see one, and RG broke Devin in shades of Maidana vs Broner style.
