There was so many great fights in the year 2000.

    Mosley vs ODLH 1
    Quartey vs Vargas
    Barrera vs Morales 1
    Tito vs Vargas

My only gripe with Tito vs Vargas is the blatant low blow in the 4th round by Tito which halted Vargas's momentum as he was in a pretty good position at that time scoring a knockdown and being well on top.

Still overall it's a great fight.

    Great fight
    Remember it well
Trinidad really did carry his power up with him.
I guess Trinidad was the reason that Vargas Vs David Reid didn't happen around that time

Still sucks that we never had the chance to see Felix Trinidad face Shane Mosley or Ike Quartey. Those would have been absolute bangers.

Vargas deserved that ass whooping. He was a big mouth with no respect for any of his prior opponents even after the fight ended. Refused to touch gloves with Trinidad and promptly got put on his ass. One of the most satisfying moments in boxing history.

His resume is absolutely insane when taking in to consideration all the great fighters he fought, win or lose.

And I felt he was quite hard done by in some of those big fights. Ok granted ODLH won close decisions vs Whitaker, Quartey, but I don't think those decisions compare to Trinidad, Mosley 2, that most had ODLH winning.

I had ODLH beating Tito 7-5 and Mosley 8-4.

Those were the same scores I had in those fights. Oscar also had a controversial decision win over Felix Sturm, who I thought he should have lost against.

Yeah but i don't think losing to Sturm would've made much of difference to his legacy because ODLH was fighting way out of his best weightclass and out of shape and people would've just put the loss down to that. The only difference would've been ODLH probably wouldn't of the got the Hopkins fight which in a funny way might of worked out better as ODLH wouldn't of had his only KO loss on his record.

But the Trinidad/Mosley fights were career defining fights and i think it's a shame he didn't get the nod in atleast one of those fights.

I thought Oscar won against Tito and the return against Mosley
I think I scored the first Mosley fight a draw. Oscar won the first half of that fight. I was impressed with Oscar in that fight. The first round Mosley was looking really good, but the way Oscar came back in the 2nd round until around the 6th was amazing

Yep Vargas always was and still is a gronk. I saw him post clips on social media of his sons taking liberties on novice sparring partners beating the crap out of them and bragging about it. The irony is his sons are terrible boxers only one of them is decent but they all think they are superstars a whole family full of privileged brats.
