The only way Bivol can win is to take Beterbiev out with a timed counterpunch

For years i always said Bivol would win but recently the more i think about this the more i think Beterbiev takes by 11th round TKO via bodyshots. There is no light heavyweight in history that can outbox Beterbiev for the full 12. I fear for Bivol here

I see it similar. Bivol can imo take beterbiev out. In my prediction I already said beterbiev by late stoppage or bivol by a counter ko in the middle rounds

Yarde landed some good shots on Beterbiev and gave him some grief too. No reason why Bivol can't do at least as good and perhaps go one better.

Only way for Bivol to win is to hit and don't be hit. Forget about trying to hurt AB. Bigger punchers have tried and failed.

Even a well timed counter punch from Bivol probably wouldn't get the job done.

I think the only way Beterbiev loses is if he suffers a knee injury during the fight.

I think Bivol's best way to win is actually fight back with his faster combinations and keep the fight in the middle of the ring as much as he can. If he can counter Beterbeiv and deter him a bit, he can turn it into more of chess match and that would favor him.

If he starts backing up too much, he would end up like Beterbiev's previous opponents... get caught on the ropes, get cornered and get hammered.

Bivol's in and out offense is one of his best assets and he will need it to win this fight.

Bivol will not take any major risks, he will keep his distance using his effective jab and thus bring the fight to an end...

Bivol would really have to catch Beterbiev with a punch he doesn't see coming. I don't think Bivol can win by just sticking and moving. Beterbiev's feet is usually fast and nimble enough to quickly cut the ring off and it gives him opportunities to break down Bivol's body while on the move. Gvozdyk tried to box off the backfoot but ended up crumbling. Bivol's best chance to win convincingly is to push Beterbiev back and throw fast combos while still using his footwork and high guard. Fighting fire with fire against a guy like Beterbiev may sound like a very risky move but it'll serve him better IMO.

Some times you have to back the puncher up. A guy like beterbiev is dangerous to have coming forward constantly

Yes, we have to wonder about a sneaky punch getting through. Beterbiev is a bit overconfident exchanging with everyone because he hasn't come unstuck yet. He almost did against Johnson. But it's gone his way so far.
He won't respect Bivol's power coming into the fight so you never know, he might leave himself open and Bivol hits him perfectly on the temple or something.
I mean, look what happened with Eubank, who'd never been hurt then Liam Smith KO's him out of nowhere. Of course everyone on the forum predicted that, but still it was surprising.

Bivol doesn't have the power he's like a Winky Wright type fight good high guard solid jab and is very accurate. But he doesn't put his full bodyweight into shots and how many stoppages has he had in like 5 years ? I mean the last opponent he stopped was a late replacement.

Bivol can win by outboxing Beterbiev not letting him get set with his power punches. The only issue I have is unlike Canelo, Beterbiev has a much better engine and will keep fighting at a good pace all night long. Canelo is a pressure fighter but he has a low output and relies on stealing rounds with eye catching shots. Beterbiev just goes in there and beats his opponents into submission.

I don't really want to make a prediaction though because I need to see if Beterbiev has any issues coming back from the injury.

That'd be shocking if he knocks AB out. He doesn't have the firepower and doesn't really look to KO opponents. Bodyshot KO?

Biggest difference between Canelo and Beterbiev is footwork, physical strength, punch output, and of course power. Beterbiev has a lot of things that Canelo couldn't present towards Bivol. Bivol took advantage of Canelo's slower feet but Beterbiev's footwork is much quicker and rarely planted on the floor. Beterbiev's footwork is an underrated attribute that people are overlooking. It's why I think Bivol trying to outbox Beterbiev on the outside would not help him as the fight goes on since Beterbiev will only turn up the gas and continue marching in without fear.

The Winky Wright comparison is a good example. When Wright beat Trinidad it wasn't just by defense alone he also came forward, pushed the bigger puncher back and kept poleaxing him with jabs and fast combos without tiring and maintaing his high guard defense. If Bivol can pull something similar like that against Beterbiev he will have a better chance at winning rather than boxing from the outside.
