I love them trashy broads. I bet she screams and thrashes around in bed. She's my kind of gal.

This decision must be sweet justice to her.

How did you get that 70% figure? How did ypu calculate it? Beterbiev at no time before or especial after the fight said his knee was bothering him. He wasn't wearing a knee brace, a tell tale clue that is was fine. There wasn't a single event that indicated he was not 100%. No knee buckling. No slowing down at any point. Was just as energetic at the end of the fight as in the beginning; in fact nearly everyone scored the final 2 rounds for Artur.

    He said it himself.

He always had stamina, I am talking about his movement and his reaction.

Beterbiev that finished Callum Smith and this Beterbiev is two different versions.

It was a really hard round to score, Beterbiev pretty much landed **** all, he chased him around the ring and smacked his gloves. But he was definitely the ring general. Whereas Bivol landed two ultra clean flurries. Either man has an argument that they won it.

I decided to rewatch it, a few rounds shifted, but my score got wider for Bivol. Beterbiev applied a ton of pressure in the 4th round, but all of the meaningful punches were landed by Bivol. Round 7 I watched three times, it really is a hell of a scoring conundrum, but Bivol's early work was a hell of a lot more clear than the ineffective flurrying to the arms late. Optics really did color people's perceptions of this match, and I'll agree Bivol's passivity and lack of output really made him look bad at times. But it's equally hard to want to hand rounds to Beterbiev who showed little to no creativity, in trying to open up his intended targets and was more than content to simply chase and speedbag gloves all night. So who do you give the rounds to? Passive but accurate fighter or the wildly inaccurate perplexed volume puncher?

    Round 1 Bivol 10-9
    Round 2 Bivol 10-9
    Round 3 Bivol 10-9
    Round 4 Bivol 10-9, close
    Round 5 Beterbiev 10-9
    Round 6 Bivol 10-9
    Round 7 Bivol 10-9, close
    Round 8 Bivol 10-9
    Round 9 Bivol 10-9
Round 10 Beterbiev 10-9, very close
    Round 11 Beterbiev 10-9
    Round 12 Beterbiev 10-9, close

    116-112 Bivol

This was my scoring live, I'm going to caveat it with I was so excited just watching the fight and seeing these two legends face off I was far too hyped to give any kinda credence to my card (I felt like this during Fury v Usyk as well actually) so I have no intention of defending it, since I haven't rewatched the fight yet, I don't know if I ever will as I feel there's something pure about just scoring a fight once and sticking with it and as I've aged I've felt much less need to defend a specific score and I much more appreciate there's a range of acceptable scores. I'll indicate the rounds I was unsure about scoring:

    Beterbiev Vs Bivol
    1: 9-10
    2: 10-9 (close)
    3: 10-9 (close)
    4: 9-10
    5: 10-9
    6: 10-9 (close)
    7: 10-9 (close)
    8: 9-10
    9: 9-10
    10: 10-9
    11: 10-9
    12: 10-9

    116-112 live scoring.

I don’t care at all, I’m just happy that we will never hear the comparisons with him and Naz ever again. He was only able to showboat (embarrassingly) because he was getting mismatched in the most favourable way, and it is worth mentioning that it was the hype of the American fans (generally) that brought him to the attention of the world and multiplied his social media presence. But not many real boxing fans were impressed, American or otherwise.
I’m not saying anything about the fain injury situation as to why he is a fraud, it was the performance against the level of the opposition that showed.
I suspect he was aware of this hence the conclusion of the fight.
He may have some talent (I dont think so) but if you are behaving like that in the ring, then you are not likely to have the disciplined mentality to make it to the top.

Your post has me daydreaming, Frank, about a threesome with that psycho-babe and...let's see...Ms Sawai.

There would be quite a contrast in styles and technique, somewhat akin to the Bivol-Beterbiev fight.

One of them would come at me with power and energy, throwing herself hard into the game, like riding a bull at the rodeo.

This intense bout of drpravity would be alternated with the slower, more precise moves of a lady trained in the fine, subtle arts of carnal stimulation, of prolonging the anticipation.

I think they would complement each other nicely.

Afterwards, I would probably vacillate as much on which of them I found more satisfying, as I did on Saturday night trying to score close rounds.

And just as with Saturday night, I might be forced to conclude that in order to make a valid judgment, I would need a 'rematch.'

I can see that and I’m not against it, but on the rewatch I was looking to find a Beterbiev win, just so I could neutralise the probable bias I had for Bivol watching it live.
I still couldn’t find a way, I thought that Bivols work was a lot cleaner and varied throughout the fight but I was shocked to see the compubox totals for punches landed, so the only round Beterbiev out landed in total punches Bivol was the 8th.
The only rounds that Beterbiev out jabbed Bivol was in the 3rd and 9th with the 8th being equal.
When it came to power punches Beterbiev only out landed Bivol in the 8th.
Now iam no advocate for the use of the flawed system that is compubox, especially when it is used as a factual measure in any argument for or against a judicial decision and iam not going to, but it isn’t so inaccurate that it would be able to possibly find those statistics in favour of a fighter who was running.
It was such a masterful performance of boxing from Bivol that anyone who could in anyway discredit it, will forever be on my mental block list.
As I have said somewhere else in this thread, the only other performance that was better than Bivols this year was, Sergiy Derevyanchenko against Mbilli that was something else, he fought with no lead hand from the 4th round, couldn’t clinch hold or jab.
His corner were practically begging him to throw the towel in, trying to convince him he had nothing to prove, he was not even momentarily swayed and in taking the punishment and going the distance with a monster puncher knowing he couldn’t win, he proved his team wrong, he proved everything and he proved that boxing is the sport of kings.
Eastern European fighters are carrying the sport at the moment, and slicing through the nonsense and hype of western fighters.
The ring walks for Beterbiev and Bivol were a thing of beauty, Beterbiev was wearing a T-shirt no entourage and practically ran to the ring, Bivol again understated in his appearance.
It’s just no nonsense boxing and they are bringing the integrity back to this corrupt sport.
Bivol won and so did the sport of boxing and both men regardless of who you believe won played a part in as great a no nonsense spectacle of boxing that I can remember.
Thanks to both the lads you are appreciated.
    Can’t wait for the rematch.

Possibly, but IMO that is 95% because Bivol is a feck ton better than Callum Smith, and forced Artur into a very different kind of fight.

Bivol would shut out Smith easily, in terms of technical ability they are so far apart.

    Credit where credit's due!

If Beterbiev was 25%-30% declined from the Smith fight and his knee was a realu issue (which he said after it wasn't) how did he finish so strongly? Physically he did not look very different to the Smith fight to me
