Boxxer event this Saturday has 4 TBA's as of Monday

I'm going to watch this live. I wasn't expecting much by way of the card. It will be good to see some of the A-side names on the card get a run out but was hoping for at least one fight that isn't too one sided!

Not sure that's true - Sky can just announce "Azim, Yarde, Azeez" and most TV watching casuals won't pay much more attention to it.

Finally Shalom actually makes a decent signing for a change lol. Hickey looked fantastic when winning the commonwealth games

 

With a sky budget they shouldn't b scrambling round for last min opponents. This card and all home fighters wud have had a date to prepare for. Fans r fed up of all these knock jobs. On prime time tv u want to see competitive action. Not a blown up in weight lump taking the fight on 3 days notice in the division above his normal weight

 

you never get TBA on fight week on Eddie Hearn / DAZN shows.

 

The underlying problem is there's just too much TV.

30 years ago the WWF used to put on "Superstars of Wrestling" on, an hour a week, which would usually be a set of knockover fights to showcase some names. Then later they realised that cable time was available 3 hours a week and had to fill it with better entertainment to keep people on board.

Boxing has never really learned the lesson - a 3-4 hour show on Sky or TNT is generally a few 'development' fights and maybe 2 decent ones. I wish they'd just go back to the old school way of doing things, tell the casuals to watch out for the main event only, 10pm, and leave some good fights buried on Sky Sports Boxing for the hardcore fans!

 

Yarde is fighting 'The Train' on Saturday according to his interview on Sky Sports.

Someone needs to run the odds for the card when it is fully annouced

I just don't get how Sky aren't going mad, it's so poor and amateur, if I did this in work be hauled up and lambasted

 

For comedy value I hope the other fighter when that nickname comes out to the Thomas the Tank engine theme song for his walk out music.

 

Plus the Fat Controller leading him to the ring holding his boxers in the air.
