Coetzer was tough and gave Bowe and Foreman a good tussle. How do you have him doing against prime Norton?

Norton would destroy Coetzer. Coetzer was a bum and didn't beat anyone. How he got shots against Bruno, Bowe and Foreman I'll never know!

Coetzer was very game, but marked up badly and did not have a good defence. Coetzer was also not a big banger,so I pick Norton to win a decision of late stoppage.

Bum is not a term that should be used to describe a pro boxer, particularly one as brave as the South African, and especially coming from a civilian behind the safety of his PC.
Coetzer was very badly managed, he took 3 bad beatings in a row which finished his career.
Bowe, Bruno ,and then Foreman beat him up ,I was at the Bruno fight, and Coetzer went out on his shield,as he did in the other 2 defeats.
A Poster calling such a man a Bum leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth.

Norton via beat down and stoppage. Probably similar to Norton’s beating of Quarry. It wouldn’t be pretty.

    Back to topic:
My man Kenny is easy money here.

Prime Norton is simply too much for Coetzer to deal with.

As it has been mentioned in many previous threads, Norton's kryptonite were big aggresive punchers; but Coetzer is not at all like that. He hasn't much on his side other than being an extra tough punching bag who was game.

The slick and crafty Norton who outboxed and frustrated Ali, handles Coetzer without much problem.

    Norton by late stoppage.

Coetzer was a warrior, always outgunned, never outgamed in his big fights. Loved that guy.

I think Coetzer would make a good fight of it. He was a busy guy, tough as nails and not afraid to throw down. I think Norton has more pedigree and the more unusual style. Not the sort of guy you'd want to face if you had a choice. Coetzer didn't hit particularly hard so Norton's biggest achilles heel is out of the equation. That said Norton was no monster puncher himself; the guys picking him by KO over Coetzer don't know wtf they are talking about. I think I lean towards a Norton points win, but it's not inconceivable that it might go the other way.
