Yeah tim should bounce back, but is he ever going to win a title ? I don't think so. He'll come back as an exciting contender. I can't see anything beyond that
He was supposed to be #1 by now. Instead we're asking if he can bounce back? No. Fools sounding like Jessie Jackson, "KEEP HOPE ALIVE".
TBH he has had bad luck, if Thurman doesn't get injured week before there fight Tim is still undefeated and on top of the world. & if he doesn't get a bad cut he beats Fundora.. more bad luck.
Tszyu will be back he has the right attitude. Credit to @thehook13 for posting this in the Aussie thread.
Tszyu has learnt he can't take a flush power punch on the chin, needs to be more defensively responsible early in fights.
There is a road back for Tim it starts with a bit of a break, some adjustments in training camp, then a fight in Australia with Michael Zerafa. He is still a young man so he has time on his side and he will never lose support from his loyal Aussie fans.
That cut happened in the 2nd round. Plenty of fight left. People act like the fight would have gone on that way until the stoppage or a UD. Nobody knows how that fight would have ended up if the cut didn't happen. There are many fights were a fighter gets beat early then comes back. Guys need to stop acting like it's a forgone conclusion that the only reason Fundora won was the cut. Secondly, if the cut was causing vision issues he should have said so, and have the fight end up a NC. Not bad luck as much as dumb decisions.
I honestly think this is the best thing that could have happened to him. He can't slug it out with everyone while sticking his chin straight up. Will be interesting who they match him with.
He needs to calm the farm and not think he can walk through everyone, I get his a pressure fighter but he can't take flush punches on the chin.
He'll obviously be back because they've invested so much in his brand. They'll try to carefully steer him into a title he can win. But sometimes that can backfire too, just like with AJ and Dubious lately. They orchestrated AJ's comeback for a year or so and thought Dubious was a good matchup. Oops.
i dont think he can come back with the team he has now. they arent ready for prime time. he needs a neutral set of knowledgeable eyes to teach him what he does wrong, and to tell him what he needs to do right in a fight.
He needs to learn to fucn hold when he’s hurt. He can’t just try and bomb his way through all the time, learn some defence. I think he can come back though.
