Joshua got hurt badly against Dubois and took a lot of big punches that would have knocked out cold most other heavyweights. It wouldn’t be wise for him to rush into a rematch in February as he would need longer to recover and heal properly.

Pretty sure one of The Brits on here predicted this a few weeks ago - that AJ would duck a Dubois rematch and try to fight Fury instead.

Fury isn't beating Usyk and I think there is a high probability Fury gets knocked spark out.

Shouldn't be rematching at all TBH. I kinda turn my nose at rematches where one person was so utterly dominated the winner is a clear superior.

Not to mention that Dubois was the champion and the challenger had a rematch clause. Utterly ridiculous.

Wasn't the planned date for the rematch like the end of February? How long a camp were they planning on?

Joshua don't want no more of Dubois. That much is obvious.

Very very wise decision, Dubois would have absolutely smoked Joshua in a rematch, terrible fight for him stylistically

Turki and Eddie openly discussed the rematch going ahead recently and even mentioned a date.

No, don't lay the blame on Turki for this.

This is a duck not a Turki.

Joshua deserves a belt because he's Joshua.

Get ready for Joshua vs the winner of Charr/Pulev for WBA regular HW Champion Belt glory !!!!

This is just a stalling tactic to see if Fury beats Usyk then Hearn will try his hardest to make Fury v Joshua.Joshua can not be getting gifted big fights,he has to earn it and coming off a one sided beating loss is not the way to earn a fight with either Fury or Usyk. Dubois Parker Kabayel and even Zhang are all far more deserving than Joshua, this ReMatchroom contract stuff is bollocks ! It basically leaves Dubois tied up with his career until Joshua decides to either take the rematch or not ! Hearn would love nothing more than to cash Joshua out with a fight with Fury, that has always been his plan and even better for him if it was for most of the belts imho .
