Frank is definitely definitely taking advantage of boxers who have ill feelings towards Eddie Hearn and Matchroom. These boxers were also never going to stay with Boxxer long term and the fact that Queensbury are lead promotors with Saudi, I can see why everyone is chomping at the bit to sign with them. Queensbury are cleaning up. Matchroom are 2nd best right now in terms of who boxers should sign with.
Unfortunately, can't see him being any more than a big name gatekeeper moving forward. Joe Joyce v him would be interesting though
Have always felt Okolie interviews well and seems like a nice guy. But he needs to make a real splash at heavyweight now against a known opponent. He humiliated himself vs CBS and will surely be used as an opponent if he's not careful. Queensberry seem to be wrapping up huge swathes of the top 30 or so at the moment. From memory, they have Fury, Dubois, Parker, Chisora, Itauma, Zhang, Wardley already… plus Okolie now? Frank could put on a very strong heavyweight card of his own if he wanted to.
Gone from Matchroom to Boxxer to Queensberry in a couple of years right? Must be one of the first to jump between all three so quick.
All UK Top boxers and prospects want to sign a contract with Frank Warren because he controls and decides in relation to Saudi Events. I know several boxers from Matchroom who want to sign with Queensberry / Warren.
