Fury been conditioning training for the past 3/4 weeks. Hes now locked in a full 8 week trading camp, I've forgot where abouts the camp has gone though?

He looked hopeless in the press conference and interviews. Could this be a tactic to make Usyk complacent?

He was still the champion when facing Wilder. In his own eyes too.

He was still the lineal champion when he faced Wilder. He presented himself as such and even before the Usyk fight he said that he is second longer regining lineal champion of all time going onto 9 years.

So either he was two time champion or he reigned for 8.5 years. You can't have both.

Oh I see, you were talking from a lineal perspective and not the belts.

So if I said, he can become a 3 time WBC heavyweight champion, all on foreign soil, then we can agree on that one?

    Correct.

    It's hardly difficult.

Two time WBC champion (Wilder and Usyk), and also two time WBA and WBO champion (Wlad and Usyk), 1 time IBF champion (Wlad). Three time Ring Magazine champion (Wlad, Wilder, Usyk), now this one is big.

Depends on your definition of champion. If Fury remained lineal champion, and you only count lineal, then AJ was never champion at all.

Ahh, we've finally got there :campeon:

So, if I was to say a 3 time Ring Magazine Champion, all on foreign soil, then you'd have no problem with that? :applaudit:

Not at all. Just like I can call Ali 4 time champion according to this logic.

In my eyes he never was. He was close to being universally recognized as Fury's successor, but then Fury came back, and it was irrelevant. There were only 5 real champions this century - Lennox (x2), Rahman, Wlad, Fury and Usyk with Vitali having a weak claim also.

But if you do count the lineal championship, and Fury definitely did, he's only 1 time champion at this time. Reigning from November 2015 to May 2024.

I can see you're very knowledgeable on the subject Mac, just off hand, do you know how many fighters have been a 3 time ring magazine champion before?

Only Ali. 3x lineal, 3x Ring Magazine, 2x WBC, 4x WBA champion.
