Like that time Frank left Boxnation for BT. Frank didn't make it clear right away to boxnation customers he said all will be revealed in due course. You maybe right and my first impression was UK too however I've heard the UK maybe separate from the Global deal. Whatever it is I hope it's the best for UK boxing.
Very good mate . I cancelled my DAZN an earlier this year so I think it finishes around April. Thanks a lot Warren!
The Boxing Fans have never had it so good for viewing boxing as it does not matter which broadcaster has the fights, whether the fights are on Box Office or even held in Australia.
I agree but he doesn't have a stable to take to either broadcasters. Can't see Sky playing "the build up game" again. That is unless the boxxer fighters are tied in with sky.
One thing that I really hope when Queensberry / Frank Warren becomes associated with DAZN is that they look at giving different dates for the UK shows so we avoid too many clashes.
I have heard that DAZN will be the solo broadcaster for Riyadh Season's events from 1st of January 2026. Neither Sky nor TNT will be involved.
I can add that several people have whispered to me that Top Rank Boxing will end up on DAZN. It is of course a huge advantage in relation to getting the best to meet each other because there is no conflict with the TV networks, but monopoly is a bad thing. The boxing landscape will change significantly in the next couple of years.
I just don't see how it'll get numbers. Like the Clarke vs Wardley fight was a huge success on TV ratings. On DAZN I doubt it would do 1/10th. I think this is brutal for boxing long term
It’s a bad move for boxing. ‘The app’ ‘deadzone’ is out of sight out of mind until they get prem and or champions league rights (if they ever do). I presume the long term plan is for Turki to buy Dazn.
