Fury on Wlad on Embarrassed on every level. Cheating canvas. Rigged scales. High lift shoes. Paid referee. Headbutts. By round 5/6 Wlad should have put himself into walk forward and risk getting KO'd mode in an attempt to find a way into the fight, instead he settled more mediocrity and a points loss which Fury then hounded him on in the rematch build up "TF:Why didn't you throw punches, " WK: I chose not to", " TF: So you chose to lose is what you're saying?" " TF: Give it a rest Wlad". Utterly destroyed.
Whitaker vs Chavez was thouroghly one sided Not sure if it’s grounds for a “whooping” though. I saw that fight in the Alamo dome when I was 14 years old…. Needles to say I was very disappointed. Azumah Nelson vs Jesse James Leija saved the night though!!
Robinson v LaMotta 6 Pac v Margarito/ODLH/Cotto Mosely vs Margarito Toney v Barkley Norris v Leonard Kovalev v Hopkins all pretty one sided beatings
Can't believe nobody's mentioned Hagler-Hearns. Marvin beat the hell out of him and brutally KOd him Great fight - competitive in places, yes, but ultimately a beatdown of one ATG by another. I won some money on that bad boy too, so thank you Marvelous!
Pac vs MAB was hard to watch, especially the last couple of rounds. It was like the ending of a tragic movie when Barrera trainer jumped in the ring and hugged his fighter to stop the fight.
What gets to me about this is Joe was no spring chicken either. He just didn't deteriorate like Roy sadly did.
The first fight was definitely a bad robbery. Although you still have to give Nelson credit for getting the better of Fenech and knocking him out in the rematch.
