i have seen ortiz take big hits from hitters with high knockout percentages and stagger but always come back stronger... yesterday i saw boots somewhat overwhelmed by blows from a man who is not a hitter... but i recognize that he is very strong physically and that his jaw is hard... but i wonder physically who is stronger? jaron ennis or vergil? who is bigger? who hits harder

Ortiz clearly hits harder I think Ennis is physically stronger

Ortiz looks stronger he tested himself in a tough fight at 154 where Ennis looks a bit fragile anytime he has been caught with a clean punch I just think that he is lucky he hasn't been in there with any big punchers.

I'm not sure when Boots was ever overwhelmed, the biggest shot that 'for some reason the announce team went crazy over' was a left hook that Boots ate without damage, and was based upon his right foot being caught behind chukhadzhian's left foot, that's literally what caused the stumble and his balance was still fine. He would've actually fallen if his faculties weren't there. He did show visible frustration that chukhadzhian tied him up and stopped his offense but that isn't being overwhelmed.

Re: the original question; Ortiz is a harder hitter than Boots I don't think there's much question about that, but Boots is physically stronger than Ortiz, you can tell by there respective inside grappling in the clinch
