After Hearn embarrassing rant about Beterbiev recently, it's hilarious watching him back crap like this

I liked to like Hearn, then I kind of just thought nothing about him

He is genuinely annoying these days

He's not packing glass no but if he moves up to 154 there's killers there especially that fighter his name escapes me atm who destroyed Tszyu and I seem to recall his left hook was pretty pin point and powerful.

Ennis was catching alot of left hooks from Karen can you imagine Ennis eating left hooks from the same fighter who dismantled Tszyu ?

I wasn't on here and didn't score the fight, but I watched the fight in real time................and at no point in time was Boots not comfortably ahead in the fight. Honestly this score is absolutely insane. This wasn't all that close of a fight.

Now as one of Boots biggest advocates on the forum I will say he needs to go back to focusing on defense more. He has slowly got away from that trying to force stoppages. And I understand he realizes that he can take the punches, but just because you can take the shots don't mean 'take the shots. He also needs to stop visibly showing his frustration when guys tie him up and stifle his offense. It wasn't a showcase fight, but nah this fight definitely wasn't very close either.

Well if you didn't score the fight you can't call my score "insane" there's quite alot of people on here that had the fight very close so it's not like I'm in the minority.

If you disagree that's fine but atleast score the fight first because sometimes I've rewatched a fight scoring it and had it much closer than I initially thought.

No disrespect here, I actually normally agree with your summarizations. Even not scoring though I feel like I had a decent insight on the climate of the fight. It seemed to have gone: less movement but more punching on the move at least initially by Karen, More free swinging and a more measured pace by Boots, evolving to more clinching and less punching late by Karen, more frustration and attempting to force the hammer by Boots. But I still thought Boots was winning rounds, more spirited effort yeah, but I didn't think Karen was just stacking rounds. I dunno..........to me there's no way I saw 8, 7, 6, or even 5 rounds that I'd say "that right there is a Chukhadzhian round".

Regarding going back to re-score, I just can't score fights that I've already watched unfortunately. Bias of what I've already seen tends to creep in, and I always try to justify this or that. Just doesn't work for me. I was disappointed with the forcing of this fight anyway which was a reason why I didn't score, probably should've scored it

Reality is a lot - probably majority - of people don't bother scoring a fight round by round, just go by overall impression - and then it's easy to be influenced by commentators or pay more attention to body language rather than punches landed.
Ennis looked like a boss, with no regard for his opponent's power - Karen looked more uncomfortable.

I'll tell you one fight I changed my mind on and I think it was you who asked me to watch the fight again aswell Tapia vs Ayala 2.

When I first watched it I was convinced Tapia won it clearly as he had all the big rounds and looked the better fighter overall with the more flashy boxing.

When I sat down and watched it again and actually scored it I had it 114-114 which surprised me.

I certainly had that happen to me as well, seeing the fight differently after watching it back, after having a discussion about it. It can be interesting experience, as You find out about how selective one's attention can be.
Barrera vs Morales III was fight like that for me. I scored it originally for Morales -so I wasn't swayed by the commentary, rather my own Morales bias - now, as most people, I see it as a fight that Barrera fairly edged.

Yeah I remember having Barerra winning the 3rd fight 115-113. That was a great battle too, better than the 2nd fight for sure.

Yes, I'd call you crazy. Just because an under dog performs much better than expected doesn't mean he won the fight. Was it competetive...Yes. Did he land more than other opponents....Yes. It still doesn't mean he won the fight. Boots landed even more punches on him than he did on Boots. For everybody that watches boxing remember, A fight is scored on 4 criteria not just who landed the biggest shots or whose head snapped back more impressively....or solely on who landed more. Also keep in mind that a fight is scored round by round, so if a fighter won a round no matter how close its easy to score a fight 9 rounds to 3 or even 10 rounds to 2, if said fighter slightly edged a round more so than his opponent.
