Why do people think all current fighters are finished after a loss?

So many fighters have come back from beatdowns to have good wins.

Dubois had literal facial injuries from Joyce and then was stopped by Usyk.

From a loss or from a beating? I think losing from a close fight and losing from a career beating are 2 different things. I've seen plenty of young fighters get ruined in fights and are never the same. Well see if that's the case with Haney.

Beatings. Many fighters comeback from beatings. I've seen much worse than what Haney got. Apart from the KDs, it wasn't that bad.

We won't be able to tell until the fight happens. I'm leaning towards what I said as being a real possiblity. Garcia was supped up on PEDS, you can tell that those power punches he landed affected Haney big time during the fight.

Both guys are total ass clowns but I like the match up and there is no reason that it shouldn't happen.
I think that Haney will out box Teo for some of the fight but Teo will eventually time him with a power shot and hurt him. Unlike Garcia who was unable to finish Haney (partly because of Harvey Dock) I think once Lopez hurts him he will stop him, he has a better variety of punches than Garcia and he will force the stoppage.

I have Haney winning this easy in a less than exciting fight. Haney will pepper him from distance while Lopez chase him all night. I hop I am wrong but I doubt it.

I have Haney winning as well if they fight, by decision. Just not easy as you say...

I'll believe it when the ink on the contract dries (and even then I'll probably be skeptical).

Should it happen, however, I think Haney could very well outpoint Lopez.

Haney, whatever one thinks of his style and/or the Garcia debacle, is very good at what he does, and his length and jab would trouble Lopez.

Better hold off our excitement. Negotiation hasn’t even started according to Teo himself. Gotta keep waiting...

I know that he's in a legal battle with Top Rank hence no contract, but I don't like how quickly he is to dismiss the fight. Dude be talking all the time to get some attention, but now when he gets the opportunity to prop up a fight, he quickly shuts it down smh.

Since you mentioned Dubois in particular let's use him as an example. Despite the losses, Dubois' confidence was never shattered or even affected. Dubois wsa back in the ring 6 months after Joyce, right after he healed. Against Usyk he was back in the ring 3 months later. He took it on his shield and kept moving, then fought a former top 10/still undefeated HW in his very next fight, then a top 5 HW.

Now let's look at how Haney spiraled outside the ring after his loss/no contest after being humbled by Ryan. How has Haney acted since then? After Haney lost to Devin, who did he fight next? No one, he has yet to climb into the ring. This is why people are saying the humbling was career changing for Haney, he didn't behave like a real boxer after it.

Shattered ego against someone faster with more power than him and more active......Teo (who I'm no fan of), would stop him.
