Have you ever watched Smith much?

    He always looked battered

Uysk did pretty good. Glowacki, Machunu, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev, Bellew...that is not unsubstantial.

I think Juan Carlos Gomez has nine defenses or so, although the big names are hard to find.

Can they actually keep Zurdo away from Opetaia given they are both signed with the Saudis? I don't think you can avoid anyone once you are signed with Turki. Obviously Turki is going to want a unification fight.

    116-113 is wild.

Definitely some pity rounds given to CBS.

How about winning once in a while as well.

I knew Zurdo was a bad style match up for CBS and held a big skill advantage but CBS is so ridiculously tough, game and fit that he can grind you down just by being able to take more than what you can. His defence is horrible and he's been in so many wars in his short career I think he really needs to think about calling it a day, especially after all the punishment he took tonight. Even if he pulled this off he was going to be on the wrong side of a bad beating and the first stoppage loss of his career against Opetaia and he's overachieved and won a belt at every level so he's done really well and made some good coin.

Credit to Zurdo he proved he not only had the skull but also the toughness.

It's insane CBS has never legitimately been floored given the amount of wars he's been in, the punishment he's taken and how porous his defence is

Opetaia vs Ramirez would be an interesting clash of southpaw. I would go with Opetaia to win on points. Just more athletic, explosive and more snap on his shots. Something like a 117-111 type decision.

Very good fight and overall this Latino night was very successful. It's just a shame that there wasn't a crowd to get excited for the show. Seems like this is the leitmotif of the 2020's. From the pandemic to the Saudi experience.

I think it's his awkward stance.

Usually if a cruiser doesn't move and hit like Evander or RJJ then you suck.

If Zurdo-Opetaia doesn't happen, let Beterbiev-Opetaia happen. I actually think Beterbiev has a decent chance.

I thought they were absurdly close, but whatever, they got the right winner.

TBF Ramirez showed some definite deficiencies at the lower weights which he seems to have ironed out at crusier; his chin especially seems much better at cruiser.
