Could him biting his gloves have been an arranged signal to Jake Paul that he was hurt and struggling? I'm sure he was often doing it after Paul landed shots on him, there's something in it IMO.

Tyson always had nervous ticks like that weird thing he'd do with his neck. I don't think biting the gloves was new for him, just excessive.

I noticed that towards the end of the fight but one of my pals with me said mike had been buying his gloves the whole fight, so it couldn't have been a signal for anything.

I wish he had bit Paul.

Probably a way to calm the urge to bite peoples ears…

Did he really do that throughout his career like Mauro was saying? Mike was before my time, I've seen a few of his fights and a lot of clips, I don't remember him ever biting gloves before.

"Rabbit hole" You are talking nonsense. Anyone can look at the fight and see that Mike wasn't attacking. Do you think Jake Paul fights are real, or is that question too "rabbit hole" for your deep thoughts?

Mike didn't swing when he clearly could have. I find it hard to fathom a forum of supposed boxing fans would be so easily duped by an obvious work. By Jake ****ing Paul no less.

Can you find any footage of Mike biting his gloves in any previous fight? I can't recall seeing it, but you claim to have, so maybe you can find evidence.

Imo. He didnt swing because he had weakness in his legs through injury.

Not sure if you,ve had an injury like that before but its like the brain stops you from doing it in order to protect the injury. Its like that thing you get with injury that grows round the injury site in order to protect it.

On top of that hes a 58 year old man who nearly died in june. Either of them two things...are far more likely why he stopped swinging than to follow a script.

His leg/knee was defo injured watching it imo. Worsened by the second round.

You cant do much with that in a boxing ring.

Thought he made a good start in the first round tbh. Still think it would have been pretty interesting if he never nearly died in june with no injuries going in. I think he could have possibly won that fight even at 58.

But after june and coming in with injuries....it was just a case of paul needing to hold back the punches not to hurt him more than the other way round.

I,d go as far as saying tyson in his prime with that knee injury would have struggled with paul. As ridiculous as that sounds. Thats how debilitating a knee injury like he seemed to have is in a boxing ring. Cant throw. Cant move. Cant generate power. Slow movement.

Doesnt matter how good you are its pretty much stops you from being able to do the things you need to do in a boxing ring.

I think its well documentated that tyson struggles to regulate his emotions. Somethings hes always struggled with.

I think he used the biting the glove as soothing for him as odd as that sounds.

Similar to how he used to cry before fights. His emotions get too big and he needs to let it out. He used biting the glove to help regulate them emotions or keep them from boiling over is my theory anyway.

    Excellent post.
Furthermore, Tyson already had a knee injury in 2004.

I could see from the start of the first round that he wasn't throwing. If his leg was that hurt, he would have pulled out. Do you think Jake Paul fights are real?

I think biting is most naturally explained as an expression of pent up aggression. Why would Mike be feeling pent up in the ring? I mean, how obvious does it need to be? I really wonder about this forum.
