I don't agree with that. If you lost you lost. It has no bearing on how likely you are to KO someone when you win. Fighters with power usually aren't the best fighter. While KO rate isn't perfect I can look at it and itll tell me if someones a hard hitter or a point fighter regardless their level of competition. Its a neutral number so far as SOS because it only counts fights someone won. If losses counted the stat wouldn't tell us anything.

Maybe what you're talking about should be a seperate stat though.

Kos in Total fights used to be how they recorded KO percentages on Boxrec (because that is actually the percentage of fights in which you scored a KO).

They just changed it about a year ago to only focus on KOs in wins. Why, I have no idea.

It's just another dumb change they made lately.

    Great choice

Joe Louis said Primo couldn’t crack an egg.

Louis, in his auto biography said."I got in some hard punches in round one,he just moved around and flicked out a jab.The first thing that shocked Carnera and the audience was that instead of him handling me like a baby ,I handled him .They were looking at his size and not his talent. I moved him around easily. "
The fight moved along smoothly for me.I remember in the fight round we clinched, and I picked him off his feet.
That's when he spoke to me ,the only time in the fight.
he said," Oh,Oh Oh,""his eyes bulged out in surprise. Then he said,"I should be doing this to you" ." I was just as surprised as he was at the ease with which I moved him around.

.Carnera had nothing.he couldn't punch but he hada pretty decent jab . He pushed with his right and he was awkward.Mostly he tried to scare me with his weight".
" He never hurt me once".

That's why you look at a guy's FINISHING ABILITY. Not punching power.
