Should Tyson have been disqualified in the 2nd Ruddock fight??

Massive Tyson fan but I've always been uneasy about his victory against Ruddock in their second bout. He hit Ruddock below the belt at least a dozen times and had multiple points deducted. I get the feeling Mike fouled out of desperation just to survive the bout.

I remember that most of the low blows were due to the fact that Ruddock's belt was too high.

Some, many were well south of the border, even after he'd had points deducted.

Do you have some examples ?
I recall one just before the end of the fight that was clearly intentionally low.

Watch the video, that's just the highlights. Mills Lane also ignored & missed quite a few low blows in this bout.

He had his trunks way too high.

Can you imagine the uproar if he had have been??
Especially after the last fight ended the way it did.
Not sure if Tyson Ruddock 3 would have sold that well!

No ( and I’m a ruddock fan ) in 2 nd rd just before the knock down mills lane called low blow with a left to the body !!!! It wasn’t a low blow it was on the belt line and ruddocks trunks were a bit high !!!!! But no Tyson should not have been dqd

Yeah, but it emphasises the point, Tyson fould at least a dozen times in the bout, at the end he was doing so to survive and out of desperation.

There were a couple of infringements committed though nothing more & Tyson for the most part was in control of the fight, despite Ruddock having some good moments but was fairly well beaten in the end, no complaints.

You can't have watched the fight because there was a hell of a lot more than a couple of infringments.

LOL, only with Mike Tyson does the guy who gets fouled get blamed: His nuts were too low, that guy’s arm was in Mike’s way when he tried to break it.

    SMFH.

Was that Giachetti in Tyson's corner? He was a slimeball. Those low blows were intentional: Giachetti strategy.

the fight was hard and dirty on both sides. Tyson was already more nervous than before, but this is the first time I have heard that his victory was in any way threatened. He fouled much worse in the fight against Golota, Holy, Botha and Savarese.
