The upper end of the card features three undefeated Albanian punchers in showcase bouts: heavyweight Nelson Hysë, light heavyweight Alban Bërmeta, and super lightweight Spiridhon Ymeri.

For anybody seeking out parity and competitive matchmaking, you're in the wrong place.

I'd say there's a < 1% chance we get an upset from any of their opponents: Ariel Esteban "Chiquito" Bracamonte, Mario Vergiev, and Cristian Alexis Bielma "El Gato Gordo" (The Fat Cat) Rodríguez

 

Hysë is a weird case. He is 40 years old and made his pro debut just 2½ years ago - with an 18-0 (16) record already. This was after reigning as his country's amateur champion for two decades. There's some question as to whether he's legit or a manufactured Ali Raymi type. On his ledger you'll find a few recognizable names, most notably Danny Williams - but all very washed-up journeymen. Bracamonte isn't exactly a big step up, but at least he'll provide a barometer to compare Hysë's performance against the likes of Ivan Dychko and Jarrell Miller (the former stopped the Argentine in 2, and the latter carried him 10 for a UD victory with zero knockdowns).

 

Three actual British prospects will kick off the card at York Hall: middleweight Emmanuel Oluwasina Ese-Oghene "E-Z" Zion (6-1-2), super bantamweight Kerim "Kid Dynamite" Agius (3-0-2), and debuting Londoner super welterweight Dylan Oke.

Kerim Agius vs. Adamu Yahaya Madenge, 6 rounds @ super bantamweight

 

First bell fully an hour and three-quarters after it was initially advertised...with half an hour of gab since the stream went live. My hopes to have this whole thing done & dusted by 5pm EST appear to be dissipating before my eyes.

 

Not sure about Agius as a prospect. Popular kid, judging by all the "let's go my boy Kerim!" comments in the YouTube chat - but he's 3-0-2 against low-level opponents, no kayos, all three victories closely scraped by. Let's see if an experienced Tanzanian fellow southpaw with a (barely) positive record is a bridge too far...

 

Agius isn't officially a southpaw, actually, although he's fought most of the first two rounds as one. He's a switch-hitter...and equally feather-fisted from either stance.

 

Yahaya wobbling in round three...more from horrible defense than anything. Agius might grab his first stoppage here if he's precise and keeps mixing up to his opponent's body.
