Watching 50 year old Earnie Shavers try to land the same kind of nuclear bombs he used to land on world class competition, but now in slow motion before essentially being put out by one nothing right hand... against a 5-16-2 fighter who would end his career a shocking 13-86. That's pretty ignoble an end for one of the most feared punchers of all time.

For my money there aren't many worse then a totally shot 42 year old Gerrie Coetzee duking it out in slow motion against... bloated middleweight Iran Barkley. That was a hard watch as a fan of Coetzee.

Recently Povetkin's was pretty sad; a covid addled Povetkin, who could barely walk to the ring, being beaten up by Dillian Whyte who is not fit to hold the jockstrap of a prime Povetkin.

Everything Roy Jones Jr did after John Ruiz is pretty sad and was the beginning of the end.

Honestly, the great majority of professional boxers meet with a sad ending of their careers.

There’s nothing sad about guys like Roy and Povetkin when there’s an entire graveyard of guys died in the ring or suffered life altering brain injuries.

I'd say getting your clock cleaned good at 50 years old is a milestone... a certain kind of boxing low point if you will.

The latter part of Roy Jones 's career was like a 15 year long car crash.

Gatti being stopped by Gomez was always a tough watch for me.

I actually don't think a lot of Jones Jrs late career was sad.

The loss to Green was probably when it got ridiculous.

    Tyson.

At the end he was fighting for money to give the I.R.S.

Mike fought without any heart or desire. He didn't want to be in there anymore which was a far cry from the excited student of the sport he started out as.

Holyfield was sad for me. Should have packed it in after the 2nd Lewis fight.
