    I selected Machen by points. No guarantee of course but I think he had the skill and fluidity to potentially outbox chuvalo.

    No one's getting stopped here. Machen in a tough fight but comfortable decision.

    I agree. I think that Eddie would nick the points here. Though a hard puncher, Chuvalo isn’t any where near as lethal as Liston, so Eddie will weigh anchor and periodically mix it more to gain the edge on points.

    Very predictable outcome. Machen wins on points "by a comfortable margin", as they say. Eddie was a strong, athletic guy and he wasn't averse to playing it rough. (The orderlies at Napa State Hospital could have told you about that.) Chuvalo built a reputation for toughness by eating punches from slick fighters. Eddie was a football player in school. He carried a rock solid 195 pounds. He could handle George's rough house tactics.
