While rewatching some KO highlights, I noticed that Mike Tyson, Gary Mason and Tommy Morrison knocked out Boyd almost the same way. He was even lifted up from the power of those shots. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Very violent KOs.
Looks like a lunch that he was open for. Though to be fair, the man was put up against a lot of elite fighters
Given that he was KO’d 42 times, it’s conceivable that Boyd was stopped by every single punch in known boxing form — from both orthodox and southpaw stances. It’s pretty much a given that he was stopped multiple times each by rights, left hooks, right uppercuts, etc.
On another note, It's pretty interesting that Lorenzo Boyd tried to back Tyson up by crowding and smothering him on the inside. Not many pre-title fight Tyson opponents approached him that way.
He bent at the waist and leaned forward. He got under punches be bending at the waist and he was looking down, then he tried to close distance by pushing in with his head. what else could happen?
