There's more talk of this. Umar on Boxnation mentioned this to Okolie when he interviewed him. How likely is this? The only thing stopping this might be Fury beating Usyk and going for a third match, or Fury losing and deciding to face Joshua. It seems a very Joshua-esque way to win a title, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Hearn and Joshua go in for it.
No idea. I am not sure why people are presuming that. I would've thought that if he was going to hold onto a belt, WBC would be a viable option given that WBC gives a lot of flexibility to its champions.
Papa ZHANGO Shot to pieces : Possibly Old : Yes Name fighter : Yes AGIT Shot to pieces : No Old : No Name fighter : No I wonder who they’ll choose to roll the dice against for big chinny gutless Josh?
Kabayel would be the much safer option for Team Joshua, coming off of the Molly whopping he took against Dubois. Not as dangerous a puncher and not as big.
That's what they're talking about just now. Hearn has also said Joshua expects to be out around May or June, so the timing also makes sense. Although the title wouldn't be vacant according to what they are saying. Zhang or Kabayel would be upgraded to WBC champion.
I don’t think Usyk is contemplating retirement in victory or defeat , so I don’t see any of the WBC, WBA or WBO belts being available to AJ for at least 12 months unless Fury wins next week and opts for an AJ fight prior to an Usyk rubber match.
