The IBHOF is 30 years old when they got started their classes were choosing from everyone. Of course their classes are going to get weaker. You shouldn't have a problem with that.

That being said I disagreed with the Halls decision here with Vinny Paz. Looking over the ballot Tarver, Maske, Meldrick Taylor, Fernando Vargas, Porter and Michalczewski were all better options and I don't even follow some weight classes. Whether Vinny Paz deserves it or not they skipped a ton of worthy options to get to him.

 

Isn't this concept of HOF just plain wrong? A HOF exists regardless of an institution. Gaining entry into this nonsensical institution doesn't add to your fame, not getting in doesn't subtract from it.

 

Even if I think a couple of the accomplishments are inflated, Manny's a Top 30 atg at the minimum and a first ballot HOF. He automatically elevates the class above "abysmal" due to his induction.

But Nunn's a borderline case at best and Paz is just a mystifying pick. MVC's main point is accurate even if it's not in the way he suggests.

This class has a top 20 (or even higher) all time fighter, and one of the best MW-SMW's of the late 80s-early 90s who really should've been a 3 division champion. Pac being in was only a formality as he had to wait out the timeframe to qualify. Michael Nunn should've been in years and years ago and quite frankly it's overdue, especially considering some of the guys who got in before him.

Paz I get it, there's a number of people who should've been in before him (notably Tarver), but to say it's a weak class and two of the 3 guys were consistent p4p guys through their primes and one in particular either the greatest or 2nd greatest of this past generation, that's being intellectually dishonest.
