According to Petchyndee, a major promoter of boxing in Thailand and in the world of Muay Thai, one of their foals, 27-year-old Thai Anuchai Donsua, who is unbeaten in 15 matches (6KOs), will challenge Japanese IBF Roosters World Champion Ryosuke Nishida, unbeaten in the Bantamweight division with 9 wins (1KO), who won the world title against Emmanuel Rodriguez.

The Thai is ranked 14th IBF, 69th in the world and 54th IBO.

A huge gamble on the part of Petchyndee and a first defence of Nishida where he should be highly favoured. Fight scheduled for 15 December 2024 in Osaka.

Thai fighter Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, ranked 12th IBF, is also aiming for a clash with Japanese world champion Ryosuke Nishida.

No confirmation yet from the media on Anuchai Donchua vs Ryosuke Nishida, the latter has only said in the media that his priority is a unification against another rival and Japanese world champion (either Yoshiki Takei WBO or Takuma Inoue WBA).

Anuchai Donsua's penultimate fight was a few months ago against Phutthichai Katikachoksakun 3-4-0 (fight start time 36:15) -->

Very much a nothing fight for Nishida. Barely a stay-busy opponent tbh. I know he's with a different promoter and all but there must be some way to get him a better opponent than this or even attempt to negotiate a unification with Takei (a winnable fight for him). This is just a waste of time.

Exactly the same body shot that Emmanuel Rodriguez was down against Nishida.

After knocking out Donsua, Nishida said he wanted to fight Nakatani.
This could happen as he is rapidly developing a relationship with Nakatani's promoter, Honda.

Ryosuke Nishida is very underrated he is actually the number 2 of the Bantamweight division after Junto Nakatani.
