Best Welter That Sugar Ray Leonard Beats?

Jose Napoles, Henry Armstrong, are probably two of the highest ranked Welterweights not named Sugar Ray Robinson that I think Leonard would have a good chance of beating.

 

Arguably any1 that isn't the original Sugar Ray.

 

Pretty much all of them at his best, even the other Sugar Ray imo.

I too go with the consensus.........so it boils down to who you think is the next best 147 to the two Sugar Rays.

 

Who wouldn't pay to see Kid Gavilan take him on? I give Kid a chance of outpointing Ray.

 

SRR is the best he might possibly beat.

I’d favor Robinson but SRL is one of the few I’d give a chance at 147.

 

On a given night in history SRL could beat any welterweight who ever lived.

I would say the one he'd have the most trouble with would be SRR.

 

The Cuban Hawk would give Leonard a very good battle. I've always had a very high opinion of Gavilan.
