They both already are. And Usyk is already a top 10 Greatest of all time

If Fury wins though he goes up a lot. It will be a massive win for him.

If Fury beats Usyk, people obviously will not give him proper credit as that's the narrative. But down the line people will look at the results and see that he beat ATG Usyk and it will be hard to deny how good he had to be to do that.

The idea Usyk is old is void because Fury is the same age and actually seems more deteriorated and he's implied that even in the lead up saying he can't be the same as he was in his 20's, but trying to convince himself he's better than ever. He's clearly feeling the age.

As far as pre-fight troubles, comparing Fury's wife delivering a dead baby to Wlad's spoiled actress wife's 'baby blues' (after having a healthy child) is ridiculous. Fury had a genuinely disturbing situation to deal with.

The problem Fury has is that on one hand he can be likeable but then he can be a piece of trash the next moment, plus his family are low-lives and criminals which hurts his image too. But really it's not that, it's the different standards people have. Because the 'other' Tyson is considered a great guy by so many fans and he's literally a convicted ****** who bit chunks out of an opponent's ear. Tyson Fury is the worst character and dirty fighter etc. but Mike is just a lovable guy who had some troubles. It's so laughable.

To be an ATG you got to beat an ATG, Usyk definitely is, Fury isn’t right now.

Fury has solid wins over (hypothetically) Usyk/Wlad/Wilder but the rest for the best part is utter dross. Far too many ducks/retirements/cancellations/Tune ups etc to be considered in the top echelons of boxing rankings.

Yep! Agreed. I absolutely love how badly Usyk irks certain ones here :D Nobody has done what Usyk’s done. Doing what he did in his opponents own backyards is incredible. Basically he conquered boxing. lol

I think Fury is a very good HW and may go into the sunset as an ATG down the road. But if Fury does manage to stop Usyk, we must remember Oleksandr is 38 years old. We‘ve seen Usyk decline over the past three years. This definitely isn’t prime Usyk Fury is taking on here.

Don’t get me wrong… It would absolutely be a remarkable victory if 280lb 6’9 Fury did actually stop the 38 year old 220lb 6’3 battle worn Usyk in this fight… but it wouldn’t catapult him into GOATness. Let’s keep it in perspective.

And Usyk by actual KO this time in 7

After the way he beat Wlad in the rematch ... and his ko of prime Joshua ... wait, never mind.

This thing about Usyk or Fury being all time greats is a glass half full type of thing.

The truth is that lame Fury was never that good to begin with, almost a pure size driven boxer like his friends Valuev and Ustinov. Fury's biggest accomplishment was beating lame Wilder who himself had been thoroughly exposed before that fight. Oh and beating 3 time ko victim Wladimir by a decision isn't that big of an accomplishment.

Usyks claims to fane are fighting Latvian Maiiris Briedis to a virtual draw, a fight he would have lost if not for his size advantage and then there were the wins vs exposed bodybuilder Anthony Joshua oh and lets not forget barnfighter Fury.

Usyk does however have an opportunity to prove himself, if he wins and puts together a string of like 5 good wins after this one then sure, all time great he is.

No, I'm serious. Because if an Olympic gold medallist, undefeated and undisputed champion in two weight divisions (including the premier one in the sport) isn't anything special then your standards are impossibly high for any human to ever reach up to.

Yeah if he beats him on a second go it's obviously better than not beating him in two tries, but it's not enough to claim he beat a prime version because clearly Usyk isn't in his prime anymore. And therefore how much can it really bolster Fury's reputation, especially if it's an iffy win rather than an emphatic one?

But what if he loses again, and does so by KO? Then his legacy's in the gutter.

I'm not sure of the logic here? Who has Usyk beaten that is an ATG? For me, Fury is head and shoulders the nest fighter he has beaten...and so many people are saying the bigchap ain't all that..? Joshua an ATG? Not now, not ever. Although, AJ and Fury have beaten an ATG in Wlad...so, beating an ATG DOESNT make you an ATG, does it? Crikey, it's difficult isn't it?
