Crawford v Alvarez

How does beating someone who is arguably #1, if not top 3 on the p4p list not effect your p4p status..... Crawford is a first ballot HOFer and the most accomplished active fighter. No he's not a 168lb'er but if he is able to make the weight and compete, he is Canelo's opponent, thus, zero excuses should exist in the fight. Floyd was smaller than Crawford. He competed vs Canelo and people still to this day use that as a means to discredit every accomplishment he's gain since that loss. So, why is it that if he beats Crawford, he shouldn't be praised for the win. Crawford, another generational talent, slick fighter, high IQ, etc....

Many critics have Canelo at simply top 5 behind Crawford, Inuoe, Usyk &/or Beterbiev. So, a win over Crawford doesn't at the very least put him above at least one of the guys argued to be ranked above him? People need to get out of viewing Crawford as a lightweight. That was a decade ago. Crawford, multiple times, has entered the ring on fight night north of 160lbs. He's not some fragile, skinny kid trying to move up. He's a grown man, who has developed and grown into his divisions he's competed in extremely well. He was bigger than Madrimov this year. Madrimov who has an abundance of amateur fights at 165lbs/178lbs, which is middle and lightheavy weight. Madrimov is chosing to fight at 154lbs. Similar to Errol who had fights at middle weight in the amateurs and started his pro career at 154lbs, but then moved down to welterweight to get a title shot. Crawford ran him over as well which sparked all the excuses in the world.

Canelo/Crawford would be 2 top athletes using IQ and skillset to out perform each other....Not a big guy pushing a little guy around.

It would have made more sense for you to claim that Crawford can't provide any value to the match up simply because you don't see value in Crawford..... How would beating Berlanga all of a sudden certify a Crawford win?......lol. Berlanga has never won a world title and never fought anyone who has beyond his LOSS to Canelo just a few months ago.

Crawford's accomplishments alone make this a conversation. If Crawford didn't provide any value to this match up, then NO ONE IN BOXING WOULD BE DISCUSSING IT. You think Crawford is the only one outside of Canelo's division that has called him out. But yet, we have been discussing Crawford vs Canelo for over a year now.

Common sense would tell you that with Crawford's accomplishments, his status in the sport, and his ability being a reason for Canelo to even entertain it, means that if Canelo is to win, which most think he would, it would hold value on his resume. Nobody is talking about Berlanga today except you. His hype ended when we saw that his power wasn't enough to catapult him to the front of the sport being that 5 opponents in a row went the distance with him. Then he doesn't come close to beating Canelo.

Canelo was 23 years old with 43 professional fights. Had already fought Trout, Mosely, & Lopez.....so miss me with the claim of inexperience being a factor. Catch weight is something that Canelo does often. And the gloves, regardless of who picked them didn't hinder Canelo one bit. No that wasn't the best version of Canelo, but it was still a damn good version of himself and he still got schooled.

Floyd today is around 170lbs with water weight on. Crawford is 160+ with muscle. So he's not just slightly bigger than Floyd. He's much bigger. If Crawford wasn't taking care of his body like he does, who knows where he would be sitting.

Crawford isn't looking to compete in the division. He's looking for a legacy fight. Why does he need to beat anyone in the division to prove he deserves that opportunity. Did you feel Canelo needed to compete against any 175lb'ers before getting a crack at Kovelev. Did you feel Mikey Garcia needed to fight a welterweight before getting a shot vs Errol Spence Jr. for his title. Kell Brook didn't fight any middle weights to get a shot at GGG. Leo Santa Cruz fought ZERO lightweights before getting a title shot vs Tank Davis....Shall I keep going.....

There are multiple examples of a double standard. Crawford is a top fighter. Canelo is a top fighter. If Crawford can make the weight, he will be a super middleweight on fight night....PERIOD. Crawford isn't telling him he want it at a catchweight and I'm sure Crawford and his camp know more about what he's capable of doing in regards to his weight than you and I.

I'm starting to feel like none of y'all have ever been around any of the fighters y'all discuss so passionately. I have multiple pics with a lot of these fighters, including Crawford and he is far from a little guy. Dude is solid. He sparred some light heavyweights in my gym and I was puzzled as to how he was able to make weight at 147.

And for an individual who claims they aren't won pushing the nonsense about Crawford lossing to Madrimov, you sure sound like you are pushing that nonsense. That fight was far from close. I've never seen so much praise given to a fighter who claimed to be bigger stronger than his opponent, but he goes out of his way not to exchange with that smaller fighter. Madrimov did NOTHING to warrant a DRAW nor a split decision. Only people pushing that nonsense is those who either are ignorant of what was happening in the ring and/or the people who so badly wanted to see Crawford lose. Madrimov threw ZERO combinations in the first 6 rounds. Feel free to watch the fight and give me a time stamp of when you saw him throw more than one punch at Crawford in those rounds. Y'all get so excited that Crawford got hit clean in the late rounds that y'all ignore the fact that Crawford wasn't effected and delivered combinations in return. Hurting Madrimov 4 seperate times from round 8 to 12. The fact that Madrimov felt he needed to hide his face and that he was seen by the doctor that night, is evidence of Crawford's damage. Meanwhile, Crawford was out on the town. Please explain to me how that is when it was a close fight as you claim.

Honestly, I'm not even sure why I'm even having this conversation with someone who doesn't respect the fighter enough to call him by his name. Last I check, he's never been announced as "Ginger"......his name is Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. You seem to go out your way to call him Ginger for some reason.
