This clown gave him virtually zero chance in the lead up to the AJ fights. You should go back and re-read his narcissistic fart huffing posts regarding those fights if you want a good laugh.

I blocked him. He seems very slow.

Reminds me of a quote I try to live by: "Never wrestle with a pig. The pig will like it and you'll be covered in s***."

No, in 5 years people will still remember Ali more than Usyk. That's not a knock on Usyk, it's just true.

I love Usyk. But.....frankly even if he goes undefeated for the remainder of his career he will never be considered the GOAT for 2 reasons IMO.
1st - Like Marciano, the competition was not stellar, that's what keeps him from getting that nod despite being 49-0 w/ 43KO's.
2nd - similar to the 1st. He will never at his age be able to get 49 fights under his belt. So....on that premise alone, let's say he finishes 27-0. It's not enough work my man. He ain't gonna get many more than that at 37 about to be 38.

Finally, it's been Ali considered the GOAT for 50 years. I don't see anybody ever saying LL eclipsing him. Why do you think 5 years will do that for Usyk?

The only way Ali gets eclipsed as the GOAT is someone will have to fight in an era where they're are multiple ATG's like the 70/90's and that person will have to fair as well or better than Ali did w/ likely also having to be written off as washed up and pull a huge upset (Ala rumble in the jungle) oh.....and for some odd reason miss 3 of his prime years and still do it despite all of that.

Those string of circumstances are very unlikely to ever occur again. Hence why it's almost impossible to put GOAT status above Ali. And....most fighters won't even do it themselves if you ask them, Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, Norton, Foreman, Shavers and the list all goes on, all say he's the GOAT.

I bet Usyk will to when he's done.

All this and absolutely EVERYBODY knows who Ali is. Only true Boxing fans know who Usyk is.

Nah, I have always admired the guy deep down, he deserves the praise. I was only hating to balance scales and troll the Fury hate brigade

Would I put him in my top 10? Maybe, maybe not
The point is, we can only rate someone on what they do I their time

My other sport is football (soccer). Too many get caught up in goat debates there also, but every era has their best and every era is different

We as humans will usually gravitate yo one of 2 ways. Nostalgia and recency bias. I honestly don't know where usyk falls in these debates, but I did say earlier in another thread that the GOAT doesn't exist and all you can do is rule your era

Now after all that, Duran and Ali are the Goats (Tv era) lol

It would be interesting if Emmanuel Steward were still around to give his take on it.

No greats on his resume because the era was weak, nor does he have the longevity to make up for it, he had like what 6-7 fights at HW? 2 of them rematches.

I don't think he passes the eye test for a true HW great either.

I also think Ali is the GOAT.

No offense but next to Boxing I follow Formula 1. And there people also use the argument that drivers from different eras can not be compared. I don’t agree with that. I think that’s way too easy. I think it can definitely be done. I have developed like a whole list that I think objectively can rank drivers. I think the same can be done for Boxing.

Not sure about GOAT HW, I would say top 15 though, maybe top 10.

For me he's for sure the GOAT Ukrainian boxer of all-time, already surpassed both Klitschko brothers, and he was always better than Loma imo.
