Well, has Usyk done enough to be considered a top 10 HW of all time...?

-Stellar amateur record with a gold medal
-First undisputed HW champion in over 20 years
-Scalps over Chisora, Dubois, Joshua (2x), and Fury (2x)
-Undefeated with superb skills that pass the eye test. Good footwork, defense, high energy, and ring IQ with great accuracy.

Also, do we factor in his superb undisputed run at cruiserweight...? The men he beat would've been classified as heavyweights in the past as they're way past the light heavy limit.

Personally, I can see an argument for putting him above ATGs such as Dempsey, Patterson, Johnson, Tunney, Charles, and Walcott. Has he done enough, or does he need to do more to get into the top 10?

I think he is but it all comes down to whether you count his cruiserweight work as rolling up to heavy. I do, the same as I do for Charles and Tunney. Some don't.

For my part, I am starting to think his WSB fights should count, because they are having these IBA fights now that some organizations count and others don't. I am not sure why some pro leagues count on an official record, and others don't, and still others count for the WBA but not the other ABC organizations.

Uysk's legacy is going to be very polarizing, and that is just the way it is.

No, he's Numero Uno, the Greatest HW of all time, the Greatest H2H of all time and the Greatest P4P fighter of all time.

    and TF is No.2...

Man I love Living Colour, Pay per View and Chumpionship title achievements with only a couple of dozen fights automatically erasing Boxing History.

I love all the Boxing Analysts talk & CompuBox Stats, man that tells it all, to hell with Recorded History, Historic Expert Analysis, Thousands of Reports, Citations from other Fighters and Film Footage display greatness against dozens of fighters... lesser greatness mind you.

You know before the internet people couldn't even Run right, walk, talk or **** the same, hell they couldn't even Fck, it's amazing the human race survived.

But thank God for technology & everybody gets a ribbon validation and of course, Oleksandr Usyk.

If we are talking heavyweight, then his resume is really very short for such an inclusion, spectacular though it is in its brevity. I'm not sure that's enough for inclusion in the top ten at heavy.

I think he'd be in a H2H top ten list at heavy.

I do think he's the #1 cruiser and fairly handily at that.

If you take the view that the cruisers that he fought are the equivalent of old-time heavies and should be taken into consideration then yes, he makes top 10 at heavy and maybe has a good spot too.

Only if you count his cruiserweight resume.

He seems like a good man but I don't think he beats any of them.

    “Stellar amateur career”

That’s wonderful, but has nothing to do with how he should rank as a professional.

    No.

Only for 21st century. Hes got a case to be top 5 for that.

Its not just the 7 fights which is absurdly low. I have Foreman as the GOAT believe me I understand the value of quality over quantity. But Usyk gave up a minimum of 4 rounds in all his decisions and had the foul thing with Dubois. Chisora is an awful 4th best win too especially when its close. And people are just pretending Usyks a dominant champ. No hes winning fights by a round or two. The media people even refer to 116-112 as "4 rounds". Thats 2 rounds mate if you flip 2 rounds thats a tie.

Beterbievs got a historically short career for a champion with 110 rounds but people seem like they are capable of being honest about it despite Beterbiev having a 100% KO rate and having it all in 1 weight class. For some reason people aren't capable of being honest about Usyks longevity and lack of dominance.

Quality wise I'd like to think so, but going by resume (which is how I do my rankings) his time there really is too short yet. We have a couple of big contender meets and if he beats the winners of them and the top contender after that he starts to have an argument. But even then you'd have to weigh how well he'd one against the very best of his era against how few fights he's had in total at HW (that would bring it to 10, I think).

You somehow have Foreman as the GOAT?

I had a bit of a giggle. I guess getting put on your arse by Lyle and losing to the likes of Jimmy Young are more valuable in terms of dominance than never touching canvas and beating everybody? Fun times we live in.

No he simply doesn't have the depth to his resume at Heavyweight to warrant being in the top 10 IMO.
