How many weaknesses does Briedis have?

He's very explosive and hits extremely hard with both hands

    Athletic, fluid and coordinated

    He's fast

    Skilful

He has a iron chin - not only has he never been dropped or stopped before he's never really been hurt

He's highly skilled and an excellent and versatile boxer who can box and fight equally well

He has a high ring IQ and sets traps

    Physically strong

    He has a great engine

    He has excellent footwork

Nice punch arsenal and punch picking

    He has a huge heart

CW Sergiy Radchenko who has sparred Wlad, Usyk, Briedis, Huck, Glowacki, Wlodarczyk, Kudryashov and Chakhkiev among others said this about Briedis

''You just can't be lighting fast and hit hard at the same time in this division, although Mairis Briedis is an exception - he is fast, the second fastest guy I sparred behind Usyk, and hits very hard''

Klitschko brother's former chef and camp manager on Briedis

''I knew Mairis was a danger and would win. Bad choice for Charr . Mairis can bang!''

    ''no
but he was great at movement. You have to stay focused with Mairis at all times.''

Mairis is a tough dude. Had him at least 6-8 times in Wlad and Vitalis camps. Always gives top work''

''Mairis can box that way is all day long, but dont be fooled, the boy has some power. Seen it first hand''

''I DID... but I know what Mairis was capable of from many many times in Klitschko camps.''

    James Ali Bashir on Briedis

Said Briedis sparred Wlad numerous times and was never hurt by him, which he says is very rare for anyone who has sparred more than 30 rounds with Wlad.

Briedis would be the greatest CW of his generation if not for Usyk and had he moved up to HW he would've been a beast up there too

And Usyk who had been going through head trainers regularly back then fired his head trainer after that fight

He could've made that an easier fight by employing different tactics

Tyson fury was mentally and in case of preparation the toughest one for usyk but if you watch all his fights it's clear that breidies was his toughest opponent based on the fight itself

I'd maintain the only correct answer would be from the man who fought both. But I understand where you're coming from.

It was the closest and most competitive fight of Usyk's career, sure, but I still think Usyk had to work harder for the AJ and Fury duologies. I remember Usyk saying he fell asleep standing up or midway through talking or something in his hotel room after beating AJ at Tottenham. He looked absolutely shattered in the ring after AJ2 and both Fury fights. You have footage of Usyk having to be carried out of the ring after Fury1, despite taking no major damage in that fight. You can label AJ stiff and Fury flabby or whatever, but Usyk fought so hard in those fights to bridge the gap between his own assets and the sheer size of those men. I didn't get that feeling after any of his cruiserweight bouts, even if the Briedis fight was close, competitive and clearly exhausting in its own right

Technically, Briedis did move up to Heavyweight, for a time, though ~

    Styles make fights

Usyk's style travelled up better to HW where he faced slow and ponderous HWs whereas Breidis' style at HW would probably have landed him at hospital if he decided to trade the same way

Never scored it and only watched it once. Great fight I wouldn't mind giving it another view

Gave Usyk and Opetai all they could handle

I scored it a draw at the time, though I did feel that Usyk won his rounds more clearly and at least a couple of close rounds could easily have swung to him, or be called 10-10. So, no issue at all with the official decision.

That super six tournament thing was one of the best. Cruisers were stacked
