Would beating Dubois twice do anything for Usyk's legacy?

I hope Parker beats Dubois purely as I’d like to see Usyk in with another name for his heavyweight CV. If he can sign off by becoming a two time undisputed heavyweight champion by beating Parker it would be far more interesting than another rematch. Usyk himself said he didn’t want rematches but contracts were contracts.

It would likely erase any doubt from the first fight, especially given Usyk´s age now, and Duboi´s recent form.
Will be similar to how no one these days talks about Jose Cotto rocking the **** out of Canelo. Used to be brought up all the time. Same with Pacquiao and body shots, Floyd and southpaws...

The Dubois fight is a high risk, low return option. If Usyk were smart he would retire. He has nothing to prove. Now, if he doesn't care about his legacy and is solely focused on the money that is a different story but I don't believe that is where his head is. Get out on top.

Id Danny ends up being a Louis/Holms/Wlad type who just hangs around as king **** for a decade or better then hell yeah two wins would be shiny. One's good, doubles is better.

That said, doubt it. One should prove just as much as two did. Does anyone question Floyd and Canelo now?

An eventual second win for Usyk over Dubois would shake the doubters about the low blow.

If Dubois can get Parker outta there it would definitely raise the interest level in a rematch.

It would shut up a small but vocal minority of idiots. But otherwise it's just a solid title defense against someone who already got dominated and quit against him.

If he won undisputed twice, he would have done it two more times than Holmes or Klitschko.

It would make him 6-0 against the UK's best trio since Lewis, including the pair of big stars from the last decade plus the new up and comer - that ain't too shabby a bragging point. It also would erase the whole stupid nothingburger controversy about the "blown body shot KO" low blow. Plus, reuniting the belts.

Usyk's legacy doesn't need for him to double dip on DDD. But it does add a cherry on top ...and honestly there aren't many wins left out there that do any more than that.

Because of a perception about the odds, many will say no. But it's essentially nonsensical that another win for a world title against a rightful top name in the division would not add to your legacy. When we put Ali's career into perspective or Louis, in Classic forum discussions, we talk about the depth of their wins against top ten fighters, not just their best names or the historical superstars, because they all count in your body of work, every time you have to face a tough handle who gets themselves into the title picture, every single time, even if they're significantly more the underdog than Dubois should be, it's going to be impressive every time you stave off the loss monster against world class competitors. Every time. There shouldn't be any debate about that even in the least of circumstances like a Wepnerian challenger, let alone these circumstances, with Dubois coming off of what is and would even more be a good run since their first meeting. I just don't see a good argument here. Two against Fury, Dubois and AJ means you not only met the top three guys but you gave each of them a chance to adjust and return the favour and none of them could do it. I'll make a case for that, even if it's not as if it's the most intriguing thing on paper.

I mean, why not dunk on the UK again?

To be serious, becoming 2x undisputed would add to his legacy, although I think it adds to it more if he does it against Parker because he's already beaten Dubois.

It can't be about money anymore. He made over 100mil for the last fight alone. His career earnings are north of 200mil I believe, and he's a gym rat family man with a wife and 4 kids (so I can't imagine he's off blowing his money on dumb ****). Anything else he does in boxing has to be about legacy, or just about fighting because he likes to.

The one thing that's sure is that if he keeps on fighting beyond another 1-2 fights, he's eventually going to lose. Father time will see to that. What happens after he loses? Does he retire? Does he fight on because he wants to? Would be interesting to see a 45 year old Usyk hanging around pulling off upsets here and there, maybe even beat Foreman's record for oldest HW champ (which, honestly, Larry Holmes did but was robbed).
