i'm not saying he won't. i hope he does. it's always great to have young prospects ready to take the torch as the older greats wear down. i just don't think berto is ready yet. cintron was supposed to be the next tito. he was supposed to knock margarito out. and we all know how that went. boxing skills go a long way, but when you're in a war with the toughest guys out there it takes more than just skill. until berto gets in there with the true elite fighters we can't really say what he's capable of. we all know what tony, paul, and cotto are capable of...cause we've seen them in those wars. we've seen them in the most crucial situations with top fighters and come out victorious. and until berto can do the same i just can't put him up there with those guys yet. i would love to see him vs a guy like joshua clottey. if he can get clottey then i'd be a believer. but right now i'm still skeptical.

That is just a shot in the dark. What have we learned about Michel Trabant and Micky Rodriguez? That's right, nothing at all. Sure Andre has blazing speed, exceptional skills and good power... But just look at his short arms, look at his small body, what about his most vulnerable defese? Imagine him backing str8 to the ropes against the aforementioned fighters... I thought Lou Di Bella pointed out clearly that Berto was not ready for the likes of Mosley and Cotto as yet.

OK I get what your saying :good I just think everytime the name Berto comes up there is hate just because of his kd. Then when Gamboa gets kd its because he was being careless. BUT i LIKE BOTH FIGHTERS :good

Andre Berto is so flat footed that I believe Cotto can outbox him easily till he gets the tko by the 9th round.

Yep, until that fast ass uppercut comes and dazzes the **** out of him. Then Berto just lets loose. J/k, but I don't think Cotto should try to fight him now

I don't think so either, Berto is too green to fight Cotto right now a'la Tito vs. Reid. That would be a one sided beatdown in favor of Cotto.

, I'm taliking about that ass whoopin Margo gave him. Cotto may not never be the same again and like I said Cotto is not at handling uppercuts at all. Think about it

Reid was not too green, he had a droopy eye lid. Tito took advantage of a handicapped fighter. It's all good, Hopkins was able to properly avenge Reid. Tito ruined Reid, and Hopkins ruined Tito.

I have seen recent pics of Cotto he looks all healed up and he seems like he is over the lost somewhat, believe me smooch for Berto to land his uppercut a fighter would have to be a stationary target like Estrada or Trabant. And I think Berto biggest weapon is his right jab not his uppercut.

A fighter with only 14 fights going up against a fighter who had 36 fights was not too green?

doubt it. margarito and cotto would steam roll him easily. williams tees off on him. cintro is overlooked, but i still think he's one of the top welters.
