If not who? Because Spence has had just two fights since 2020 including the Bud fight... its 2025.. that win will not age well.. I can't think of any of Crawfords stand out opponents that were in decent condition other than Kavaliauskas who is a B level operator & 10 fight Madrimov who some think he lost to .. Khan & Brook had long since past their sell by date... Postol was a good win but that was years ago.. yet Crawford is still considered by many to be the P4P #1.

Crawford should not ne no1 p4p as he barely win to a novice Madrimov and some say he lost. Crawford looks average fighting middleweight his size. Inoue and Usyk have been fighting bigger opponents and still look dominant. Whereas Crawford fighting his size looks average.

Madrimov is a better win than a drained, shot-to-death, damaged Spence Jr.

    Of course it's Spence.

It's the fight everyone was clamouring for. Spence was the higher ranked fighter, was the A-Side, was unbeaten, and called the shots.

I've not seen anyone rank him above Usyk though.

In the hypothetical, although he failed to make it much of a fight.

Yes Spence is his best win. Yes it will age poorly because Spence will not bounce back from the loss. I've said this for years but Crawford's resume in terms of names is trash compared to P4P greats we've seen in the past. It's his accomplishments and the eye test that ranks him high. 2x undisputed, 4 division champion, 3x lineal, etc.

On paper Spence is the best, but when you factor in how damaged he was at that point Burns, Gamboa, Postol, Porter, Madrimov are all better wins. Not a single one has aged well and his resume is very meh.

Also, not talked about enough, but it's all I think about when Crawford comes up: he is a massive weight bully. People saying it's an achievement to win in his fourth weight class but even moving up he slightly outweighed Madrimov on fight night. Dude has never been outweighed on fight night by any opponent, and has never not had a reach advantage. Dude should be nowhere near p4p number 1.

Reminder, Crawford began his career at 135.
