Definitely, Dubois has mentally strengthened and is better than ever before, but first he has to get past Parker and that won't be easy at all...
Any talks of Dubois are assuming he beats Parker, obviously if Parker wins people will ask for that fight instead. But if Dubois wins his next fight it's a no brainer
I did indeed use my noggin when making that post. Hopefully Parker sends Dubious packing and we can see a new matchup instead of the endless boring rematches.
I certainly don't. I get why people would want the matchup in isolation. The circumstances are the main reason I don't want it. The division is more backed up then its been in 50 years and am exhausted by rematches and Usyk fighting only the British. Lets clean up all this debris before doing undisputed again. Also if Usyk is going to retire soon the Dubois lineage offers a clear succession plan. If Usyk beats him again that goes out the window.
I seem to recall you on another thread a while back feeling Joshua (before the Dubois loss) was a low risk opponent for Usyk even though he was competitive in the return with Usyk. Not a fight I would want to see again BTW. Do you not think of it as low risk high reward on facing Dubois? Considering Dubois was knocked down and soundly beaten by Usyk inside the distance.
Of course Dubois is low risk high reward. Usyk has dominated and knocked him out already. But if he beats Parker he's a logical fight for Usyk to make. The winner of Dubois v Parker is very clearly the next best HW in the world after Usyk. 3rd would be the winner of Kabayel v Zhang.
Difference being Usyk won't move in a straight line and hang his chin out for Dubois to crack like AJ did. Dubois can come as ferocious as he likes Usyk will put him back in his place but anyway hopefully it will be Parker in negotiations with Usyk.
Nah No chance Dubois lands that miracle borderline body blow again. Usyk destroys him & makes him quit Faster then the 1st bout.
