Wlad in a blowout and people would complain about clinches after.

Wlad. Bigger, stronger, more defensively prudent, enough power to deter George, hell as much power as George has, he coukd even stop George late, good enough engine and footwork to go the distance. Wlad doesn't get clipped by a wide puncher like George, not prime defensive Wlad. Whisper it, I love big George but think he's a bit overrated....there, I said it....

I would make Wlad the favorite but give Foreman a punchers chance

Steward Klitschko wasn't any better than pre-Steward Klitschko. He was just more cautious.

Poor Wlad. For all his 'longevity', he really isn't a reliable H2H fancy against even half-decent offensive threats, let alone other ATG heavies. Wlad is too fragile and lacking in the mental fortitude to overcome the menacing effectiveness of Foreman.

Foreman W KO - early doors

We can't discount Foreman quitting in the corner with tears streaming down his face. Tends to happen when a bully gets shutdown.

I'd be happy to point out that Foreman is the same size as David Haye, but that would only force you to deal with pages of pseudomedical nonsense about bone structure, etc.

Ali “resorting” to the rope a dope is kinda a fallacy… he knew he didn’t have the legs anymore in general, everybody was catching up to him… Bonavena, Chuvalo, Norton and Mac Foster… Ali spent his whole fight with Frazier circling away from the hook and still got hit at will… I consider none of the above as “legendary” for there ability to cut off the ring… it was a plan, he knew Foreman was too green that he was so used to bowling guys over and had one plan. Toney did this a bit, follow a guy around throwing a little bit and just back up, if they’re not smart they’ll follow you to the ropes.

Lots of “B-but Brewster and Purrity” as if either of those guys translate to George Foreman? I probably wouldn’t bring up say Norton if I was discussing Ali vs Marciano, it doesn’t mean anything - Wladmir is about 238-240lbs+ 6ft5 and Foreman is about 6ft3 and weighed in with combat boots on in his prime… 215lbs… Wlad was a full time athlete on PEDs always in the gym, used to chopping up guys roided up at 240lbs. Against the Foreman sized Haye… we saw how he’d look in there, that sort of physical disparity isn’t overcome by fighting like a guy used to being “Big” people are questioning Wlad’s chin but the only guy who hit close to Wlad in George’s prime was Lyle, Lyle almost had him with the first right of the fight lol, leaving your right hand extended and slapping the jab down isn’t going to cut it to get close to Wlad, he’s going to quickly need to pick up some head movement or he’ll be slept after a boring night on the end of his jab.

I mean… okay, the forum will hate me for this but even Carl Thompson was “bigger” than a bunch of heavyweights back then maybe even Foreman included… “On fight night I'll weigh something close to my walking around weight of 14st 6lbs (202lbs)” Foreman is about 3 inches taller, and a lot less muscular, people underestimate how much spare weight a lot of those guys hold in the older days, today everyone is a lot bigger at weights because they know how to get rid of every ounce of useless weight, loads are coming in peeled up to the bone who knows what they’d weigh in the 70s, Frazier in Thompsons composition is likely 180lbs?

Pretty much this, this is just about the same as if Haye threw caution to the wind - if this happened in real life people would complain again “The Klitschko's are only good because they’re so big” no one would want to see this fight IMO, it’s a little guy who swings for the fences walking into heavy artillery.

Corrie Sanders: 6'3, a fat 225 lbs with a 77 inch reach. Walked through Wlad in 2 rounds.

Lamon Brewster: 6'2, 225 lbs with a 77 inch reach. Stopped Wlad in fight 1.

Brewster had the humerus and tibia of a 6'6" monster of a man.

Sanders was a huge 6'4 southpaw with some of the fastest hands ever in heavyweight history. Zhang is probably the only guy in his league in terms of straight left power.

Brewster fought out of crouch, had one of the hardest left hooks in history, and won fights on attrition.

Neither of these has anything to do with Foreman.

And Wlad hadn't even won a major title yet. In other words, it was before he 4x'd Foreman's career title wins without losing.
